Global stocks rose on Thursday, while U.S. stock futures were mixed after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite closed at record highs in the previous session.

U.S. stock and bond markets were closed for Independence Day, but stock index futures continued to trade. S&p 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures were little changed, while Dow futures were higher.
